Who We Are

“... so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another. We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us: prophecy, in proportion to faith; ministry, in ministering; the teacher, in teaching; the exhorter, in exhortation; the giver, in generosity; the leader, in diligence; the compassionate, in cheerfulness.”
Romans 12:5-8

St. Thomas's Church values and encourages a diversity of people who are reflective of the kingdom of God. We strive to respect the dignity of every human being by welcoming, validating, and supporting all persons, whatever their race, sexual orientation, gender, age, health status, physical ability, marital status, or stage of spiritual journeying.

We are committed to the care of children; we value both the ministry we have to children and, in turn, the ministry children have to adults. The leadership of this church embraces the Children's Charter as articulated by the Episcopal Church.
St. Thomas's seeks to be a community of lively faith. As such, we are committed to a life of worship that opens us to God's presence and touches our souls, and to educational opportunities that challenge and nourish our spirits.

We take seriously the gospel imperative to proclaim the Good News and to engage in restoring all people to unity with God and each other in Christ. To that end, we affirm our interdependence that enables mutual ministry, and we commit ourselves to promoting justice, peace, and love.

Who we are, what we are called to be and do, is rooted in the Baptismal Covenant; we invite you to embrace it with us. At St. Thomas's we have found food for the pilgrimage and water in the wilderness; we invite you to share it with us.
