Adult Education

“Come to Him, a living stone, though rejected by mortals yet chosen and precious in God's sight, and like living stones, let yourselves be built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”
1 Peter 2:4-5

Join us for Scripture study, reflections on spirituality, and lively conversations about issues in the Christian life! Our program of adult formation has something for everyone: weekly Bible studies, book groups, discussions of theology and the Episcopal Church, and explorations of Christian spiritual practices. Programs are offered on Sundays at 11:30 a.m., on Mondays at 6:30 p.m., and on-line.

Seeking God, we learn to listen deeply -- to the Holy Spirit and to each other -- as we grow in discipleship and build up the community of the faithful. Come and see! All are warmly welcomed.

Another part of St. Thomas's Adult Education program is the Ecclesia mailing list. Started by Carolyn Sharp, Ecclesia is used by members of St. Thomas's and the broader community for bible study.

Ecclesia is founded on the principle that encountering the Word of God in community is transformative for Christians. Reading together, we learn and grow together, we wrestle together with the challenges presented by Scripture, and we rejoice together in the power of God's life-giving truth.
