Elizabeth Godwin

Elizabeth GodwinFollowing her love of working with children, Elizabeth Godwin earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from East Carolina University and is certified to teach elementary music both in North Carolina and in Connecticut.

While at ECU Elizabeth sang numerous solos with the ECU Chamber Singers and sang the treble solo in Benjamin Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb on their commercially recorded and critically acclaimed CD Greater Love, found on the Gothic Label.  She has also played many roles with the East Carolina Opera Theater and has stared as Anne Putnam in Robert Ward’s The Crucible. 

Elizabeth is well versed in a variety of teaching styles; having taught both music and general education in public schools, she has also directed youth choirs in a sacred setting. 

Currently, Elizabeth is pursing a master’s degree in Elementary Education at the University of New Haven, is singing with the St. Thomas’s Adult Choir and Schola Antiqua and serves as a teacher and curriculum developer for the St. Thomas’s Episcopal Choir School.
