“Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness and patience...and above all these put on love which binds everything in perfect harmony.”

Colossians 3: 12-14

Stained Glass at St. Thomas's.
The people of St. Thomas's strive to demonstrate our Christian love by spending time together and supporting each other through times of trial and times of thanksgiving. Here are some of the ways we make that happen:

Pastoral Care Committee
The pastoral care committee exists to help parishioners in times of crisis-including illness, surgery, death in the family, or birth of a new baby-and to minister to the special needs of parishioners who are no longer able to come to church. The committee coordinates home and hospital visits, the sending of cards on special occasions, the delivery of meals, and other ways of fulfilling special needs. For more information, contact the parish office.

Coffee Hour
Our most common form of social contact is the Sunday coffee hour in the lounge following the 10:00 am service. Rest assured that it's more than just coffee: Parishioners take turns providing snacks, which range from the simple (cheese and crackers, bagels and cream cheese) to the elaborate (hot hors d'oeuvres, blueberry pancakes). But while we always enjoy the food, most of us come for the fellowship.

Church Dinners
St. Thomas's occasionally organizes evening covered-dish dinners to provide more opportunities for fellowship and conversation. Watch our calendar for news of the next one.
