“...straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 3:13b-14

Parish life is dynamic. As our web banner suggests, it is "becoming"... changing... "creating" and being recreated... active. Faithful stewardship in caring for the fabric of the church as we have received it, understanding and honoring the history of the parish past does not require us to live in the past. Leadership grounded firmly in the faith, firmly in the lives of the people is a leadership willing to follow where the Holy Spirit leads. Or, as C. S. Lewis describes life in the Kingdom, it is continually a movement "further up" and "further into."
As we continue to move forward and live more deeply into the Kingdom, being a more visible presence in the greater community - a presence more clearly heard - is a high priority. The immediate and long-term goals are, in part, to provide community outreach through music. A dynamic program for children and youth in greater New Haven, for example, might naturally lead to other ministries and programs such as sports, tutoring, peer counceling, nutrition and meal planning, arts appreciation - these are just a few of the possibilities we envision.
We strive to live the Gospel imperative, and that is expressed in our worship, our ministry, community life, hospitality and diversity. We welcome you - no exceptions.
