At-Large Vestry Member Claire Scully has been a member of St Thomas’s since 2005. She was raised in the Roman Catholic Church, but explored Episcopal churches prior to having children. She found St Thomas’s through a newspaper article, and chose to commute 25 minutes each week from Bethany simply because being at St Thomas’s felt right. She has been a lector, intercessor, usher and sacristan. She also helped teach Sunday school for several years when her three now-teenage children (Peter, Brian, and Kathy) were younger. She works as a speech therapist in a Waterbury middle school and high school.
